STOTT PILATES® and NCPT Instructor
Health and fitness have been central to Liza’s life from a young age. A former Varsity Track & Field athlete and Dance Team captain in both high school and college, Liza’s passion for movement began early and never stopped. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Human Nutrition.
After a life-threatening surgery in 2001, Liza’s personal recovery journey inspired her to help others rebuild their strength and confidence through fitness. She began her professional path as a personal trainer and group exercise instructor, eventually expanding into Pilates in 2006, while 5½ months pregnant with her second child. This experience sparked her deep interest in prenatal Pilates and was the beginning of her journey with the STOTT PILATES® method.
Over the years, Liza has integrated Pilates into all facets of her teaching and personal training, believing that mindful movement and the mind-body connection are key to long-term health. In addition to her work as a Pilates instructor, she trained as a Personal Trainer through NASM, ACE, and AFAA, and holds specialty certifications in Johnny G Spinning®, Kickboxing, Mat Science, TurboKick®, Insanity®, PiYo®, BOSU®, Piloxing®, Silver Sneakers®, and TRX®. She also recently earned her NCPT (Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher) credential.
Drawing on her decades of experience, Liza recently created a Comprehensive Pilates Training Program to certify new Pilates instructors. Her goal is to mentor the next generation of teachers within an inclusive community, sharing the depth of knowledge she has gained over 20 years in the fitness industry and blending classical foundations with modern, science-based techniques, particularly focusing on Pilates for strength.
Liza lives in Shelton, Connecticut, with her husband and two daughters, both of whom currently attend Sacred Heart University. Her commitment to community service spans decades. Most recently, Liza was honored as Mrs. Connecticut American 2023–2024, a title that deepened her community engagement and led to her involvement with the Derby/Shelton Rotary, where she now proudly serves as President-Elect.

The CT CORE CERTIFY Pilates Teacher Training Program is a comprehensive 500-hour education pathway designed to develop confident, knowledgeable, and highly skilled Pilates instructors. Created by Liza Ginoni, a STOTT Pilates–trained instructor with 24 years of fitness industry experience, 20 years of Pilates expertise, and National Pilates Certification (NPCP) credentials. This program blends classical principles with contemporary methodology to create a robust, modern Pilates education.
This training offers a flexible, blended-learning model combining in-studio instruction, online coursework, independent study, practice teaching, observation, and physical review. Participants receive in-depth training on all Pilates apparatus, including Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrels, Jumpboard, Springboard, and small props. Coursework includes anatomy, postural assessment, cueing, programming, teaching strategies, and modifications for special populations.
Students gain one full year of access to the Core Pilates Shelton studio for their practice hours, allowing them to complete the majority of their practical work, observation, and assistant teaching in one supportive environment. Upon completion, graduates are fully prepared to teach in a wide range of settings — boutique studios, group fitness environments, private training, or large facilities — and are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and experience to confidently sit for the National Pilates Certification Program (NPCP) exam.
The program’s structure, mentorship, and comprehensive curriculum ensure that students enter the Pilates industry with professionalism, readiness, and a strong foundation in the authentic Pilates method.

Expert-Led Education Your Instructor Trainer, Liza Ginoni-Gambino, brings over two decades of Pilates experience, STOTT Pilates advanced training, and National Pilates Certification to the program. Her 24-year career in fitness gives students unparalleled insight into anatomy, programming, client management, and career development.
A True Comprehensive Experience. Students train across all Pilates apparatus and complete modules built on the foundational principles of Joseph Pilates while incorporating contemporary STOTT methodology. The curriculum emphasizes functional anatomy, alignment, postural analysis, and a deep understanding of exercise progression.

Integrated, Supportive Training Environment. Unlike programs that require students to seek hours independently, CT CORE CERTIFY offers the unique advantage of one-location learning. Participants complete observation, assistant teaching, physical review, and practice teaching directly at Core Pilates CT, creating a seamless and supportive learning experience.
Mentorship That Builds Confidence. Students work closely with an Instructor Trainer throughout the program, receiving ongoing feedback, individualized guidance, and support through every phase of their development — from foundational movement skills to advanced teaching techniques. Mentorship continues all the way to the final practical exam.
NPCP Exam Preparedness. This program is specifically designed to prepare students for the National Pilates Certification Program exam, offering the depth of training and competency standards required by the industry’s highest certification.
CT CORE CERTIFY respects the integrity of the Pilates method while recognizing the needs of today’s clients and instructors. Training includes classical foundations, contemporary adaptations, modifications for injuries and special populations, and real-world programming strategies.
